Description

Westar Services is a trucking and construction company that
specializes in forestry, transportation of green energy, aggregate
processing and earthwork and looking for an experienced and
professional Truck Driver to join its team.

This position will be based out of Whitecourt, Alberta, with accommodations included!

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
-Responsible for safe and proper loading to allow for safe transport
and offloading of logs
-assure proper weights are achieved
-Maintain accurate records and logs
-Perform pre-trip inspections and preventative maintenance before,
during, and after shifts
-Maintain proper radio communication
-Maintain interior cleanliness and perform a complete sweep
through before switching with cross-shift
-Problem solving when dealing with unexpected situations such as
unfavourable weather, breakdowns, etc.
-Understanding and know location of permits and registrations
-Must wear proper PPE.
