Description

Duties/Responsibilities:
-Responsible for becoming familiar with all reports and legislation in respect to the Land Management Program
-Responsible for maintaining all files and indexes pertaining to the leasing procedures of the Kahkewistahaw First Nation
-Responsible for collection of payments, issuing receipts and ensuring all payments are up-to-date and recorded
-Responsible for preparing and presenting regular reports on the Land Leases to the Lands Manager
-Responsible to negotiate fees, time frames, etc. for all Grazing, Agriculture and Hay Permits/Leases
-Responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance of site inspections for all Grazing, Agriculture and Hay Permits/Leases
-Responsible for deciphering mapping products to give an accurate land reading and description
-Responsible for participating in all training, workshops, conferences, etc. as they pertain to Land Management
-Responsible for acting as a liason with the general public in the absence of the Lands Manager
-Other related duties as may be assigned in relation to Lands by the supervisor
Requirements:
-Possess recognized training in the area of Land Management and Procedures with a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent with at least one year related experience
-Must have excellent public relations abilities and communication skills to deal effectively with the public, Chief & Council, lessees/patrons, fellow employees and the Membership
-Must possess the ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision
-Must be well organzied, punctual, dependable, reliable and ensure that confidential matters remain confidential
-Must possess sound computer skills and be familiar with related software
-Must possess considerable knowledge of effective office procedures, techniques, and file maintenance and data processing potentials
-Must possess a vaild driver's license and dependable vehicle
-Must provide current Criminal Record check
