Description

The IT Application Analyst works directly with the Technical Services Manager, Application and Development Services Team Lead, Operational Business Analyst, and Project Coordinator, to monitor and maintain enterprise direction regarding Branch system functionality and services. The IT Application Analyst will design, implement and support software solutions based on needs expressed by internal and external users, Branch management, and other stakeholders.  The IT Application Analyst ensures that the data, applications and software systems used in the emergency response system are maintained according to public safety standards.

The IT Application Analyst is responsible for; enterprise, commercial Off-The-Shelf (OTS) and internally developed application software support for the Provincial Emergency Communication Centre (PECC) environment including internal and external users; providing application support for Computer Aided Dispatch systems, FDM Asset and Reporting systems, Business Intelligence (BI) systems; Database management and support; providing assistance and support to internal and external users and strategic partners; providing support to the mobile environment including configuration, deployment, and maintenance of mobile applications. Each function will be delivered in accordance with Branch, PECC, and industry regulations, standards, and best practices.

Position Requirements:
    A Diploma or certificate in a related Information Technology field and five years of related experience is required.  An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
    Working knowledge of Windows 7, Microsoft Office Suite,  IP Networking, Windows Server platforms
    Good working knowledge of MS-SQL Server or other RDBMS.
    Experience working with modern scripting and development toolsets.
