Job Description: UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE DIRECTOR OF NURSINGS, THE RN/RPN PROVIDES ACCURATE ASSESSMENT, PLANNING, IMPLEMENTATION AND EVALUATION OF RESIDENT CARE, AN ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY WITH FAMILIES AND THE HEALTH CARE TEAN IS REQUIRED.  THE INDIVIDUAL MUST POSSESS A PROGRESSIVE AND INNOVATIVE APPROACH TO LONG TERM CARE.
Required Qualifications

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA) or Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS)
Bachelor Degree in Nursing or Bachelor Degree in Psychiatric Nursing

NOTE: This is a Provincial Posting and is open to all SUN members within the bargaining unit as per Articles 27.02 and 27.05 of the SUN Collective Bargaining Agreement. First preference will be given to employees of the Saskatoon Health Region and its affiliated agencies.

IT WILL BE DESIRABLE IF YOU POSSESS A KNOWLEDGE OF THE PRINCIPLES, METHODS AND TECHNIQUES INVOLVED IN PERFORMING NURSING SERVICES RELATING TO THE CARE OF PATIENTS IN LONG TERM CARE.
Geographic Location: Located approximately 168  kms outside of Saskatoon
Expected Start Date: October 22, 2015
FTE: 0.79

Hours of Work: Shift Information: Days, Evenings, Weekends
In a 6 week rotation: 22 shifts of 8.00 hours
