Gibson Trucking Ltd., with address at 25 2nd Avenue North, Martensville SK S0K 2T0, operates within Western Canada and North Western U.S.A., is looking for 2 Long-Haul Truck Drivers to perform the following duties: Drive Livestock Trucks and Super B Grain Bulkers to transport goods to destinations; Oversee the overall condition of the truck and equipment, loading and unloading of goods, and safety and security of cargo; Inspect the truck and equipment before the trip if in good running condition; Perform emergency roadside repairs; Prepare documents and permits required for international routes; Maintain records, whether electronic or logbook, of all information relating to work(instructions, cargo information, distance travelled, fuel consumption); Regularly communicate with office, dispatcher and other drivers using two-way radio, cellular phone or computer.
Requirements: Completed secondary school; no experience required; at least 1 year experience driving long-haul truck is an asset; English language proficiency is mandatory; excellent written and oral communication skills; mechanically-inclined; physically fit and self-starter; can work independently with minimal supervision, and a team-player; with valid Class 1A driver's licence and clean driver's abstract.
Employment details: Full time and permanent; wage of $25 per hour at 60 hours per week; full benefits according to Labour Standards; provides on-the-job training to drive livestock truck and bulker.
