Description

Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Canada, Ltd. (MHPSC) is a major supplier of custom welding, machining, assembly, and field services to the energy industry in Canada and around the world. We are currently seeking a Maintenance  Calibration specialist to join our highly skilled team at our manufacturing plant in Saskatoon.

Type:          Permanent, Full-Time
Reports to:    Lead Hand, Maintenance
Shift:        Days, Monday through Friday. This shift may change based on business needs.

Responsibilities:
- Promote a safe working environment
- Leveling and calibration of machine tools
- Hydraulic systems and troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot machine tools control errors
- Mechanical repairs of machine tools
- General facility maintenance
- Machine tool installation
- Fabricate and install fixtures, sub floors, and chip guards
- Troubleshoot crane problems
- Machine maintenance
- Data entry for preventative maintenance system
- Air tool repair
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Self-motivated and able to solve mechanical and machine controls problems
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Ability to perform physical labor
- Ability to support all production departments when on-call on weekends
- Ability to work evening shifts
- Must have mechanical aptitude
- Computer experience is an asset
- Forklift/Crane training is an asset
- Previous experience with rigging and lifting of equipment is desired
- Good oral and written communication, interpersonal skills are required
- Demonstrated ability to learn and a commitment to continuous improvement
