Description

The Facilities Maintenance Operator maintains the building and grounds with equipment inspections, equipment maintenance, minor repairs, some cleaning duties, and yard work. This position is also responsible for maintaining a high standard of order and cleanliness throughout the Littelfuse Startco building.

Job Responsibilities
- Maintain internal external building appearance by performing some general cleaning duties, checking pest traps and touching up paint throughout the building.
-Maintain washroom, coffee bar, and gym supplies.
-Maintain grounds by fertilizing/cutting grass, blowing/removing snow, picking/spraying weeds, and watering grass and plants.
-Conduct inspections and maintenance on various equipment.
-Perform general handyperson duties including assembly of production benches, replacements of ceiling tiles and light bulbs, minor plumbing, electrical and mechanical repairs and minor concrete damage.

Position Requirements
-Grade 12 education
-Prior experience in a janitorial or custodial capacity would be an asset
-Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's license

Skills & Competencies
-Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment of janitorial service.
-Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules.
-Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
-Ability to operate and use power tools, janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies.
