Manager, Electrical Engineering (Regina or Saskatoon)
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage electrical design group, buildings sector. Oversee electrical design group and coordinate with engineers, technicians, and other staff from multiple disciplines
Take leadership role in supporting the Business Unit Director in staff management, workload distribution, and identifying resource and training requirements
Be accountable for promoting a culture of success, technical excellence in project delivery, and fiscal responsibility
Work with the design team to provide practical, efficient, and cost effective solutions for projects relating to the field of commercial, industrial, and institutional building electrical systems including lighting, power, life safety, and communications
Prepare design calculations and technical specifications and review plans for compliance with guidelines, codes and other regulations
Establish and maintain relationships with clients, explain technical information, concepts, or study results
Develop business with new and existing clients, write proposals, and be responsible for the financial performance of the electrical group
Prepare condition assessment studies on existing building systems
Perform all other tasks related to design and site review of building electrical systems
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Approximately 15 years relevant experience in the design of building electrical systems
Registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan
Experience in engineering consulting will be considered an asset
Good initiative and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and develop client relations
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
