Established in 1976 the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) is a First Nation governed post-secondary institution. SIIT welcomes over 2000 students into our urban and community programs annually as well as serving over 4800 clients through our eight Career Centres across the province. SIIT is currently looking for a Managerial Accounting (MACC) tutor in our Business Administration diploma program in Saskatoon, SK. This position includes the following broad areas of accountability:

* Provide tutoring to students in MACC 215 course

* Prepare tutoring sessions in conjunction with MACC instructor to ensure students meet academic standards

* Help students with study strategies and techniques

* Regular evaluation of the students

* Creativity in providing student-focused solutions

Required Competencies:

Flexible & Adaptable; Effective Communication; Relationship Building; Results Oriented; Empathetic Listening & Responding; Client Focus; Problem Solving & Decision Making; Teamwork.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

A diploma or certificate in business administration. The candidate should also possess experience working in an educational setting. Experience teaching or tutoring adults, preferably First Nations adults is preferred. Knowledge of First Nations culture and organizations would be an asset.
