Are you a dynamic, energetic, compassionate person who would enjoy working with youth from the ages of 12 - 17? Do you like spending time recreationally or sharing your talents with youth? If so, we woudl like to hear from you! Our adolescent group home is designed to accommodate up to 6 co-ed residents.
The successful candidate will be required to work at our Adolescent Group Home on a shift rotation basis, including weekends, weekdays, and some night shifts. This is a casual shift-relief position -- hours are not guaranteed. Will be responsible to care for youth ages 12 to 17. Full job description available on request.
Qualifications and experience:
Good Knowledge of adolescent development
Familiar with issues of at-risk youth
Ability to supervise and provide care to youth
Experience or training in the human services field
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Certified in First Aid with CPR, (or willing to acquire)
Valid Sask. Driver's license and good physical mobility
Youth Care Worker Ceriticate or Diploma would be an asset but not essential
All successful candidates will require a clean criminal record, "vulnerable sector' check as well as a Child Abuse Registry check.
