The White Buffalo Youth Inhalant Treatment Centre is now accepting applications from qualified individuals for the position of Program Coordinator.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree in a related field and/or a diploma in addictions or chemical dependency, including a knowledge base around inhalant use and related issues.
Minimum of five (5) years direct experience in youth treatment centre operations, and community aftercare services
Supervisory skills and experience.
Demonstrated ability to perform tasks related to report/ proposal writing, interview techniques and counselling skills.
Demonstrated knowledge /experience in assessment, referral networks, community development and intervention.
Proven ability to work in crisis or pressure
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Must possess a good employment history.
Minimum of five (5) years of sobriety/abstainer and evidence of a healthy lifestyle.
Familiarity with goals and objectives of treatment and counselling methods.
Professional and organized working habits are necessary.
Must be able to function autonomously, to be flexible and adapt to change.
Emotionally mature and stable.
Commitment to personal wellness.
Must be able to communicate clearly in English both in writing and verbally
Valid driver's license.
Knowledge of First Nations language and culture a definite asset Valid Saskatchewan driver?s license
Must undergo First Aid training if not in possession of current certification
Must undergo a Federal Criminal Record search, the results of which may influence the decision to employ.
