YTC is seeking 1 highly motivated individual for the position of Maternal Child Health/Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (MCH/FASD) Coordinator. The position is responsible for the following:
Provide clinical supervisory services to the Parent Mentors in the 6 YTC FN'S
Responsible for the monitoring of the MCH Service Agreements with the 6 YTC FN'S
Coordinate regular Parent Mentors/FASD mtgs with the YTC First Nations to discuss MCH/FASD needs and issues
Provide specific Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder training/workshops/presentations to the YTC FN'S
Attend relevant meetings/workshops and presentations related to program activities; and
Develop/maintain a list professional services and specialists to assist Parent Mentors/FASD Coordinators in meeting the needs of children 6 years of age and younger as required
Qualifications:
Have a Bachelor of Social Work, or a nursing background, with specialized training in FASD/ other relevant areas to MCH/FASD
Be registered and in good standing with the College or Professional Association applicable to education
Have a minimum 3 years experience in coordination/supervisory capacity
Have knowledge/understanding of First Nations language/culture/traditions/social issues.
Be willing to travel & possess a valid drivers license & reliable vehicle & submit a current CPIC (vulnerable sector);
Have excellent organizational/time management/stress management skills
Be aware of all YTC health programming along with relevant legislation/policies/ procedures

Salary: To Commensurate with qualifications
Combination of education/relevant training/ work experience will be considered.
Preference will be given to those of Aboriginal ancestry under exemption E-96 of the Human Rights Code.
