Child Minding/Babysitting - East YMCA
This position is responsible for the following: Supervising and caring for children under the age of 10 in the East YMCA Babysitting program; as well as, planning, coordinating and implementing fun, safe activities for these children.
Child Minding hours are the following:
Monday-Friday 9:00am-12:00am
Monday-Thursday 5:15pm-8:15pm
Saturday 9:00am-12:00pm
Skills Required:
-Past experience working in leadership development or skills-development programming.
-Experience working with youth and children, with a proven ability to effectively manage groups.
-Experience in lesson planning.
-Strong leadership skills (an engaging leader, capable of inspiring program participants).
-Strong organizational skills, and able to handle several tasks at once.
-Ability to understand program objectives and implement programming that reflects the programs goals
-Proven ability to build relationships and work well in a team.
-Able to produce a Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Check.
-First Aid & CPR are an asset.
