>Design, develop and implement Social Development program, policies, and procedures. The position is responsible for Allocating material/ resources, (human and financial) to implement organizational policies and programs; establish financial and administrative controls of the department; formulate and implement promotional campaigns in the communities; and approve overall personnel planning of Social Development Department.
>Design, develop and implement Social Development program, policies and procedures for the community;
>Develop and monitor Department Budget;
>Act as liaison between LLRIB communities and Aboriginal Affairs & Northern Development Canada (AANDC);
>Formulate and implement community Development programs;
>Keep Chief and Council and Program Directors abreast of program plans and requirements;
>Ensure that program evaluations are carried out;
>Report to Chief and Council for program updates;
>Plan and arrange for the developmental aspect of each program with the employees;
>Ensure direction, motivation, and supervision of the operations of Social Development in maintained;
>Secure financial resources necessary for running an effective Social Development system;
>Serve on informal and formal management committees as assigned by the Band Council;
>Implement a staff supervision and program evaluation process in accordance with Band policies;
>Maintain positive public relations on behalf of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band Office.
Requirements:
>Minimum of a university Degree in Social Work;
>Minimum of 5 years senior management experience in the Social Services field;
>Significant financial management experience, including preparing and monitoring budgets;
>Excellent computer skills;
>Human resource experience including guidance, supervision, development and performance management of staff;
>Leadership and team building skills;
>Must have a valid Driver license;
>Ability to travel extensively;
>A reliable vehicle;
>Ability to speak Woodland Cree;
