Description

Duties and responsibilities:
The Supervisor will ensure the safe and efficient operation of the SARCAN recycling depot.

Duties include:
-    Motivating and training staff to offer a high level of customer service in the most efficient manner possible
-    Providing customer service, counting containers for deposit refund, operating the till, preparing containers for shipping, and loading products onto trailer for transport
-    Building and equipment upkeep and maintenance (may do minor repairs)
-    Completing all functions necessary to open and close the depot
-    Directing staff in the receiving, preparing and loading functions
-    Responsibility for getting cash from bank, night deposits, daily cash reconciliation, issuing cheques and all related reporting
-    Monitoring staff compliance with all policies and procedures
-    Dealing with non-routine customer inquiries and complaints

Qualifications:
-    Experience in supervising staff, operating a forklift and working with mechanical equipment
-    Effective supervisory, organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal)
-    Ability to work in a team environment
-    Valid class 5 drivers license
