A job coach bridges the gap between training for a job and being comfortable with a job. Aside from providing one to one support a job coach can help other people in the workplace become natural supports. An individual may need support for a few months or for a year. Once the individual is comfortable to work without a job coach It is then the job coach's responsibility to work themselves out of the job. Each individual is different in the level of support needed.

You can expect a job coach to:
* Sort tasks in priority
* Identify areas for accommodation
* Assist only when needed and begin training
  task-by task
* Orient the individual to the workplace(with the
  employer if possible):
      * The physical layout (bathroom, lunchroom,
         employer's office, etc.)
      * Introduction to co-workers, customers and
        employers
      * Review of the safety rules and company
        rules

A Police Record Check with Vulnerable section will be required when applicant is chosen. Please feel free to send in your application even if you are in another area of Saskatchewan in case a position becomes available in your area.
