Description

Northeast Regional Victim Services works in cooperation with the R.C.M.P. to provide assistance to victims of crime and traumatic events. The Victim Services Assistant Coordinator position is a three-day a week, part-time position located within the northeast Saskatchewan region with the possibility of service delivery in Melfort, Nipawin and surrounding areas.

The Victim Services Assistant Coordinator position includes assisting victims of crime and traumatic events through crisis situations, the criminal justice system, making referrals to appropriate community agencies, and various forms of support to clients. The Assistant Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the management, development and day-to-day operations of Victim Services in a designated region of the program. The Assistant Coordinator is responsible to the Coordinator and is responsible for the management and supervision of volunteers. This position requires an individual prepared for extensive travel throughout the northeast region.    

Qualifications:
- Related post-secondary education and/or related work experience
- Successful completion of an Enhanced Reliability R.C.M.P. Security Clearance check
- Valid driver's license
-Use of personal vehicle
- Will have strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
-Must be willing to work a flexible schedule. The individual will be on a rotating 24-hour on-call schedule
