Description

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service
Ascertains problems by listening to the customer's description of symptoms and clarifying description of problems
Check vehicle information making sure all information is captured and accurate
Examining vehicle maintenance records and service schedules suggesting any up and coming recommendations as per the vehicle manufacturer
Provide explanation of diagnosis or repairs needed and asking the customer when we can perform the required repairs for the customer
Verify warranty coverage by examining records; explaining provisions and exclusions
Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor calculating customer's payment
Maintain records by recording problems as well as corrective actions planned or performed

Shop Related
Ensuring work area is kept neat and tidy
Prepare repair orders by describing symptoms, problems, and customer concerns
Assign repair orders to the appropriate department and technicians
Inform technicians of the repair order
Order/source the parts required to perform the repairs

General
Full-time position, 8 hours a day with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break
Employees must wear appropriate company shirts as provided and ensure they are in a presentable condition (i.e. clean)
Wear approved safety equipment, steel toe boots/shoes

Skills/Qualifications Required:
2-5 years previous experience in the automotive/medium truck trade
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Able to take direction and complete tasks as assigned efficiently
Willingness to learn and attend training
Able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities on a daily basis
Able to work independently as well as part of a team
Physically capable of lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs.
Must be available to work full-time, 5 days a week + overtime when required
Working knowledge of COSTAR program is a definite asset
