Duties and responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the Special Needs Equipment Warehouse Supervisor and following established policies and procedures, the successful candidate will clean and perform minor repairs to equipment for the recycle program ensuring that is meets quality standards, and conduct warehousing support functions to ensure the efficient operation of the provincial warehouse.
Duties include:
- Assess returned equipment and perform
necessary procedures (thoroughly clean, check and minor repairs) to a variety of equipment including walkers, commodes and wheelchairs to return them to inventory
- Assemble new equipment and prepare it for issue
- Assist with warehousing related duties
such as stocking shelves, unloading/unpacking
stock
- Other duties as assigned to contribute to the overall operations of the department
Qualifications:
Education:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
Skills:
- Good oral communication skills with
previous customer service experience
- Familiarity with the use of basic hand
tools
- Good organizational skills for
prioritizing and handling multiple projects
