As INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIAN, your duties will include the following:
- Test and maintain instruments for measuring and controlling the flow, level, pressure, temperature and other variables in an industrial work environment.
- Inspect/test to ensure instruments and systems are operating efficiently, diagnose system faults, calibrate components and instruments.
- Perform maintenance work, and complete/submit testing and maintenance reports.
- Install and maintain DCS, PLC and VFD systems. Monitor work activities in an effort to identify and implement any improvements that will provide improved service, functions or repair.
- Calibrate and configure Analyzers Ph & O2.
- Work on flow transmitters, industrial valves, pressure transmitters and tubing.
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
Education & Experience:
- Instrumentation trade certification, 3rd year apprentice and/or Journeyman status.
- Journeyman Maintenance Electrician / Instrumentation Mechanic (dual ticket) is an asset.
- 3-5 years related electrical experience working on industrial and/or commercial projects.
- Must have experience in DCS & PLC systems, along with PLC software troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated technical skills, including troubleshooting, problem analysis, solution development/design, implementation and follow-up for instrumentation and electrical systems.
