The Marketing Manager will have the necessary skills for photography, videography, desktop publishing, graphic design, and social media. The Marketing Manager will have experience working with volunteers, in fundraising, event planning, and communication (written and public speaking), as this position requires an ongoing public interaction with volunteers, donors, businesses, and partners, at various Mission events. A diploma or degree in a marketing related field would be beneficial.
This position requires a moderate understanding of computers and related software; specifically Google Gmail, Drive, Calendar and Chat, as well as a competency regarding numerical data. Experience with databases is an asset.
Duties & Expected Results:
- To successfully organize and coordinate various fundraising events throughout the year
- Will be responsible for our social media outlets and website updates, ensuring that consistent and current messaging is being communicated through our online presence
- Will help capture information from various Mission Departments, to be used in communicating current happenings with the public on a consistent and ongoing basis, via photography, videos, and story gathering
- Responsible for composing the Missions e-appeals
- May be asked to assist in the making of phone calls to lapsed donors, potential fundraising event donors, and so on, through telemarketing
- May be called upon to speak on behalf of the Mission at various events in the community including but not limited to; Mission Booths, Church/ Business Presentations, Cheque Presentations, etc
- May be asked to assist with the development of various promotional materials; which may include PowerPoint Presentations, Posters, Flyers, Press Releases, and Brochures
- May be required to do the RR data pulls from Silent Partner
