Aboriginal Head Start Teacher Associate/Bus Drivers/Casuals

Under the supervision of the Childcare Coordinator and the Director of Urban Children Services, the Childcare (ECE) Worker positions require physically active individuals who are willing to 'get down on the floor to play'.  

Requirements:
1.    Must possess a Saskatchewan valid drivers license (class 5) and meet STC's insurance requirements and/or possess a Class 4 license would be an asset.
2.    If individual does not possess ECE certification, must be willing to take classes to
Obtain Level 1 certification in allotted time.
3.    Knowledge of First Nations and Mtis Culture and the ability to speak an Aboriginal language will be a definite asset
4.    Knowledge of holistic model of health and wellness programs (Medicine Wheel Concept)
5.    Ability to build healthy relationships with children/youth of all ages.
6.    Safe Food Handling certification.
7.    Must have excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
8.    Ability to work well in a team environment.
9.    Ability to maintain confidentiality.
10.    First Aid, CPR and WHIMIS certification
11.    Must provide a current Canadian Criminal Records Check (CPIC) and a Ministry of Social Services Child Abuse Check at time of interview
