Job Description: The Social Worker works as an integral member of the KidsFirst NORTH team to provide professional consultation and collaborative support to team members, development of and direct counselling services to KidsFirst NORTH families and children in non-traditional settings, and community development through public education and consultation.

Direct services will include creative outreach, case management, individual, group and family counselling, and public education and consultation.  The incumbent shall function within the practice principles of the Mental Health and Addictions Services program management model and is accountable for delivery of services to families identified in the targeted KidsFirst NORTH program.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Social Work or Bachelor Degree in Indian Social Work
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Valid drivers license and the ability to travel both within the Region and Provincially.
Experience
Minimum of two years experience in family counselling
