Description

We are presently seeing a full-time medical office assistant for a busy orthopedic specialists office.  
The office is open Monday to Friday, closed on weekends and holidays.
Day time hours (7 hours per day, 1 hour for lunch, hours may vary).
Wage: Based on experience.
Start date: October, to be determined.

Responsibilities:
General office duties, running clinic, answering phones, medical billing, patient bookings, medical records management, transcription, third party billing, faxes, diagnostic bookings.
Surgical bookings, explain diagnostic testing, medication and physician instructions to patients.
Office inventory.
Other projects as needed.


Qualifications:
Medical Office Assistant certificate.
Must have experience with Accuro EMR.
Experience in a medical office setting.
Preference will be given to a candidate with surgical booking experience.
Medical terminology, transcription, billing knowledge.
Typing speed of at least 60 wpm.
Strong work ethic, must be self-motivated and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills, problem solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure with multiple changing priorities.
