Job Description: Under the direction of the Director, Human Resources, the Administrative Assistant - Human Resources is accountable for providing confidential secretarial/clerical support to all Human Resources Team members including the Employee Benefits Officer, Manager of Staff Relations and Human Resource Officers.  

The incumbent is responsible for the efficient operation of the Human Resources office including responsibility to ensure all secretarial functions are completed in an accurate, timely and confidential manner.

Required Qualifications

Office Education certificate
Grade 12
Experience
At least three (3) years related experience, preferably in a health care setting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Intermediate computer skills
Effective time management and organizational skills
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
The ability to prioritize responsibilities and to work effectively under pressure
High level of competency
Typing speed of 60 wpm
Knowledge of Human Resource theory and practice
Ability to produce professional documents including letters, brochures, posters and signs utilizing various computer applications
Exceptional interpersonal skills
An understanding and commitment to the vision, mission and values of the region
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and high attention to detail
Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule

Expected Start Date: October 5, 2015
FTE: 1.00

Hours of Work: Shift Information: Days
37.50 hours per 1 week rotation: 5 shifts of 7.
