Description

The North American John Deere Construction & Forestry Dealer Association (JDCFDA) is seeking a Managing Director. The dealer group represents 39 dealers with 357 locations in Canada and the US, doing over 30 billion in sales. This is an exciting Regina-based opportunity to lead and grow the association. Reporting to the President, you will be responsible for working closely with the Officers and Directors of the Board and serve as the internal liaison to John Deere and the North American Dealer Channel.  Travel within Canada and the US is a requirement of this position.

Roles/Responsibilities:

Ensure the efficient operation of the association in accordance with policies.
Assist the President and Board members in all areas of association management.
Act as liaison between organizations (Board, dealer volunteers, committees) and John Deere Senior management.
Prepare and present reports to Board and Dealer channel at quarterly or annual meetings.
Manage specific strategic initiatives as directed by the Board.
Manage and provide direction to the Coordinator of Marketing, Communication and Administration.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Administration preferred.
Experience working in a non-profit environment or directly managing or leading an association.
Familiarity with utilizing websites for sponsorship objectives.
Demonstrated strategic, analytical and negotiating skills.
Proven organizational and leadership experience working in a team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of the manufacturing industry and/or experience working within a heavy equipment dealership would be considered definite assets.
