DUTIES:
The Recreation Programmer is responsible for:
- Providing quality personal training programs to clients
- Being self-motivated to acquire and retain personal training clientele
- Creating and organizing active programming for children and youth in our community
- Assisting in the programming of other recreational programs in a team environment
- Providing excellent, high-energy customer service
- Assisting in monitoring fitness equipment
- Other duties may be assigned on occasion
Must be available for evening and weekend shifts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have completed a post-secondary degree or related 2 year diploma in kinesiology, recreation, leisure studies or in a directly related discipline, and have relevant experience within a recreation environment. Applicants must hold valid personal training, First-Aid, and CPR certifications. The applicant must be physically fit, and possess superior oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Applicants possessing a post-secondary degree or related 2 year diploma will be placed at a Recreation Programmer 2 level. Applicants without a post-secondary degree or related 2 year diploma will be placed at a Recreation Programmer 1 level.
