Job Description: Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President, Human Resources will be an integral member of the senior leadership team with an ability to drive strategic change and quality improvement.

The incumbent will be responsible for the planning, organizing, management and overall direction of Labour Relations, Employment Services, Employee Health and Support Services, Recruitment and Retention, and Payroll, Benefits and Scheduling for SCHR and its Affiliates.  He/she will develop strategies, policies and procedures to achieve the goals and objectives of the SCHR while ensuring alignment to the SCHR mission, strategic direction and Lean methodology.  

A respected leader, the successful candidate will possess:

- A Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or equivalent.
- Graduation from a recognized MHA or MBA program is an asset.
- Minimum of 10 years Human Resource management experience, with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Labour Relations issues and arbitration boards.
- Experience with applicable labour and occupational health & safety legislation.
- Experience in a health related field an asset.
- Leadership, communication, analytical and problem solving skills
- Lean Certification (or prepared to obtain).
- Current legal eligibility to work in Canada.
