Description

The Water Treatment Plant Operator I will be supervised by the O & M Supervisor, with overall accountability to the Kahkewistahaw First Nation Chief & Council.  He / she will be responsible for the daily activities and duties consisting of controlling any process which effects the quality of the water, this includes the day to day maintenance, laboratory testing, administration which effects the quality and the quantity of the water for the safety and health of the community.

Qualifications:

Must have Sask. Water Quality Training Certification (water treatment & distribution and waste water treatment & collection) level 1 is required.
Must have 2 years work  experience in the same field.
Must possess working knowledge in Water Treatment Plant Operations.
Understanding and knowledge of chemical mixtures as it pertains to water quality.
Knowledge and experience of testing results for water treatment plant and writing reports.
Knowledge of water / sewer lines in the community.
Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
Must possess workiing knowledge in plumbing.

Submit a drug screen result (within 30 days), and a criminal record check (within 30 days) with resume.
Submit three current written letter of references with resume.
