Description

Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, this position is responsible for coordination and administration of internal/external required and optional training programs as well as various aspects of the companys immigration program.  
Responsibilities:
Serve as an integral member of the Human Resources team to coordinate training and development and identify training needs of all employees in co-operation with each Department and Managers
Source programs or courses to meet training needs and provide information to employees and Managers
Maintain employee database to track training activities and ensure employee training records are updated in each personnel file;
Provide administrative support for all in-house and external training activities
Register employees in external training programs and communicate training opportunities to all employees through regular fax/memo/email correspondence
Monitor training expenditures and participate in the development of training budgets
Generate reports as required;
Monitor employee progress and provide support as required by individual training programs
Assist with immigration process; includes communicating with SINP and the companys immigration consulting firm
Immigrant settlement (will include travelling to airport & throughout province) and handling other immigration issues (ie. work permit extensions, assistance with permanent residency, etc.)
Assist the HR Department with other duties as required
Requirements:
Degree in Human Resources preferred
Experience with MS Office applications
Willingness and ability to visit production units as required (travel will be required with this position)
Self motivated, organized and detailed oriented; excellent communication and interpersonal skills
