JOB DESCRIPTION: Director of Judicial Programs

The John Howard Society of Saskatchewan Regina/Moose Jaw has a leadership opportunity for a highly motivated and innovative professional as the Director of Judicial Programs located in Regina and Moose Jaw.

Reporting to the Branch Executive Director you will be responsible to provide coordination and support in the development and delivery of a continuum of focused in the area of justice related services. Using a restorative justice lens, you will be responsible for:
    Budget planning and oversight;
    Justice related programs including Extrajudicial Sanction and Alternative Measures, Fine option and Community Service, and Primary Crime Prevention;
    Facilitating collaborative relationships with colleagues, clients, funding partners,  ministry representatives and other CBOs;
    Ensuring the highest standard of case management; and
    Meeting program outcome measures and contract compliance.

This position will also coordinate the recruitment and selection of in-scope staff ensuring the selection process assesses critical skills for case management and supervision. This includes coordinating the overall staffing, assessment and selection process in addition to other human resource functions as assigned.

Typically, the knowledge and competencies for this position would be acquired through a Bachelors degree in a Human/Social Sciences, Social Work, or other human services related degree with experience and knowledge in the justice related sector. Experience managing in a unionized environment is an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
