Description

The John Howard Society of Saskatchewan, Regina Branch, has an exciting career opportunity for a highly motivated and innovative professional to become the Director of Social Programming. Reporting to the Executive Director, Regina Branch, this position will provide senior leadership, guidance and oversight of Regina Social Programs including Residential, Supported Independent Living and Community Outreach. You will be responsible to provide senior leadership and direction in the development and delivery of all aspects of service delivery.  Using a client-centred lens, you will be responsible for:

    Budget planning and oversight;  
    Facilitating collaborative relationships with colleagues, clients, funding partners, ministry representatives, and other CBOs;
    Ensuring the highest standard of case management;
    Meeting program outcome measures and contract compliance;

This position will also coordinate the recruitment and selection of in-scope staff ensuring the selection process assesses critical skills for case management and supervision. This includes coordinating the overall staffing, assessment and selection process in addition to other human resource functions as assigned.

Typically, the knowledge and competencies for this position would be acquired through a Bachelors degree in a Human/Social Sciences, Social Work, or other human services related degree with experience and knowledge in the residential services sector.   Critical to this position is knowledge and experience in understanding the issues and dynamics of homelessness in our region.  Experience managing in a unionized environment is an asset.  An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
