Nexon Construction is requiring a Construction Project Manager.
Nexon is based out of Regina, but we have projects across Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. We are excited to continue building our management team.
The successful applicant will have 7-10+ years experience in the construction contracting field - you are expected to have knowledge of all aspects of the commercial contracting work cycle and demands. It is expected that much of this knowledge comes from past management or ownership experiences.
Duties include:
- Negotiating with/hiring sub-contractors
- Daily site progress reporting
- Quality Control inspections and appropriate follow-up
- Effective communication with clients and sub-contractors
- Supervision/enforcement of on-site safety policies, practices/requirements
- Completing/assisting with project quotes, proposals and project costing take-offs
SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Knowledge on how to bring out the BEST efforts and desired outcomes from people is key
- Excellent organizational/scheduling skills
- Problem-solving and conflict management skills
- Knowledge/some proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software (ie. Word; Excel)
