Description

Applicants MUST have a valid drivers licence and a reliable vehicle.

Job Description:
Ensuring safety of common areas, and complying with NPR Health and Safety requirements
Trouble shoot and prioritize work orders and handle emergency situations
Drywall Repairs, painting prep and painting
Minor Electrical repairs
Minor Plumbing repairs, including boiler checks and where applicable hot water tank replacement
Perform water and sewer line repairs where applicable
Dealing with subcontract labor
Taking quotes and preparing estimates
Assisting with suite renovations and other upgrades
Moving furniture, equipment, materials and supplies, including clearing of vacant suites as necessary
Maintain clean vacant lots, removal of garbage and debris from building & grounds as required, grounds keeping
Maintain tools and equipment
Ensuring appropriate resources are available by maintaining a stock and inventory and ordering supplies as necessary
Snow removal and ice control from all entrances/exits and walkways as required when necessary
Delivery of notices to building residents & posting of notices in common areas where applicable required
Resident Services and assistance as required and maintaining good resident relations
Completion of suite inspections where applicable
Assisting with the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs
Other duties relating to upkeep of buildings and suites as assigned

Position Requirements:
Able to work independently, is a self-starter and takes pride in a job well done
Proven ability to work productively and safely while under pressure, with good time management
Good customer service skills and pleasant demeanor
An ability to speak and write English fluently
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to provide a criminal record check free of relevant convictions
Work as part of an on call team
