The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
> Responsible for the intake of social assistance clientele and issuing of cheques and purchase orders to the band membership;
> Office duties will include, but not limited to, conducting interviews, home visits, filing, maintaining proper records, and performing other duties as assigned by the welfare administrator;
>Maintain positive public relations on behalf of the department.
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
>Some Post-Secondary Education is required.
>Previous experience in an office setting would be an asset;
>Preference for a person with training in Office Administration and or Office Education;
>Working knowledge in accounting procedures;
>Ability to deal with the public, excellent communications and organizational skills;
>Valid driver's license is and access to a reliable vehicle are preferred;
>Ability to speak Cree is an asset;
>Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential;
>Punctual, honest & reliable.
