Description

WUQWATR is the non-profit watershed stewardship agency for the Wascana and Upper Qu?Appelle Watersheds. The General Manager is responsible for overall leadership and management of WUQWATR

Duties:
Manage in accordance with Bylaws and Governance policies.
Oversee implementation of Source Water Protection Plan.
Develop and implement work plans.
Research funding sources and develop proposals and applications to funding agencies.
Overall project and program management.
Membership recruitment and retention
Manage positive relationships with members, staff, partners, funders and public.
Management of staff and contractors.
Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate events: Board meetings, AGM, and Committee meetings.
Prepare annual budget and financial reports for Board review and approval.  
Ensure that the organization follows sound accounting and audit procedures.

Qualifications
Two years post-secondary education - University degree or Technical diploma in relevant field.
Proven management experience in non-profit, government or private sectors.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of urban and rural watershed management issues.
Proven human resource, financial and project management skills.
Computer proficiency in communication and financial management
Strong passion for environmental stewardship
