As a Director of Operations, you will be reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing the Facilities & Capital Asset Management Program, across avenue livings entire assigned portfolio of buildings. Drive standardized practices in acquisitions, refinance of properties, capital management (building planning & integration), facilities management (developing people, process & program, leadership and development) and project management in conjunction with Project Managers (leadership of multiple centers across Western Canada and ability to oversee each center)
Provide technical direction, deploying all aspects of the asset management strategy
Directly oversee the performance of all Operations employees
Communicate often to the VP of Operations when issues arise
Ensure asset management best practice is deployed and sustained at site level, through program management and key performance indicators
Support facility operators, budgets and cost and continuous improvement activities
Expectation to spend 50% of working hours in the physical assets
Require knowledge of the state of each unit, each building and a genuine understanding and confidence in the work being done by each facilities employee must be accounted for each day
Participate in weekly facilities management conference calls
Attend any court hearings in the respective region representing the position of the organization as required
Engage with tenants as assets are visited each week
Approve and or question purchase orders, AFEs, POs and invoices as required
Support and actively manage the facilities & capital budget allocations and implemented across your region
