Facility: REGIONAL OFFICE (WEYBURN)
Job Description: The Manager, Payroll & Scheduling is accountable for the daily operation of the scheduling department and providing payroll advice and support in the region. The position is vital in the provision of efficient, consistent, and timely scheduling services to departments/managers on the Central Scheduling system in the Region. All processes must meet legal requirements, collective bargaining requirements and region standards. The Manager, Payroll & Scheduling will manage the department in a manner consistent with the Mission Statement, Philosophy, and Goals and Objectives of the Regional Health Authority.
Required Qualifications

A recognized Business Administration Degree or Diploma
Experience
Minimum of two (2) years of previous computerized scheduling experience in a health care environment. Payroll Management Certificate.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Valid drivers license
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with many individuals and groups including staff, students, unions and the general public
In depth knowledge of principles of collective bargaining agreement application and interpretation, and related provincial legislation
Knowledge of applicable Collective Agreements (SUN, CUPE, HSAS) as they pertain to disability management
Computer skills in such programs as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
Sound knowledge of financial management process; computer literate
Must possess strong conflict resolution skills to diffuse situations with staff, clients and/or their family members/support people
