GSSD is seeking a full time Payroll Assistant mainly responsible for the teacher payroll function. The Good Spirit School Division Payroll department consists of 5 members paying approximately 1200 employees on a monthly basis.
This position is Permanent Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Term:
Commence October 5, 2015 or at a date mutually agreeable.
Qualifications:
Min. grade 12 or equivalent along with a diploma/certificate in Accounting/CPA or related post-secondary program.
Competencies:
Strong interpersonal, communication and computer skills
Ability to work collaboratively as an effective team member
Strong attention to detail & mathematical skills
Diplomatic & ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information relating to payroll & HR in a professional manner
Must possess a strong ability to prioritize and organize information with minimal supervision
Previous experience in Payroll considered an asset as well as any experience in a related field.
Duties:
Duties include calculation of salary and benefits, data entry into a computerized payroll program; provide assistance to the Payroll Supervisor & other duties as outlined on our website in AP 473Duties & Responsibilities of Payroll Assistant.
Salary & Benefits:
As per the Out of Scope salary Schedule-starting $44,498/annum, dependent on qualifications, & Out of Scope Benefit Plan.
