The Western College of Veterinary Medicine is searching for a leader to guide the Department of Veterinary Microbiology through a period of growth and renewal. The position is available on July 1, 2015 or when a suitable candidate is identified.
The individual hired to lead this exciting department will be appointed as a tenured Professor. The successful candidate must be an experienced academic leader with a strong track record in research and teaching. He/She must have graduate training at the PhD level and preferably an academic degree or specialty certification in medicine or veterinary medicine. The candidate must have an established international reputation, a competitively funded research program, and experience with mentoring graduate students, faculty and research personnel.
The salary band for the Full Professor position is $127,421 - $148,785 (compensation could exceed $200,000 with the addition of career development and special increases) plus an annual Department Head stipend of $12,000.
