Salary or Pay Band: $38.080 to $47.490 (6 step range)
Hours of Work: In a 6 week rotation: 14 shifts of 8.00 hours
Job Summary:
1. Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
2. Current registration with the SRNA and/or CARNA
3. Current CPR Certification: Heart & Stroke Foundation in Canada Health Care Provider Level C
4. Maintains certification and instructor certification for education/training programs identified by the facility/region as priority. Examples: Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA)
Experience:
-Minimum 3 years recent full-time clinical experience in primary CNE area of practice (eg. Acute clinical, long-term care, mental health, etc.) or, as relevant, a variety of nursing settings and/or patient/family service areas.
-Minimum 1 year experience in patient/family/professional education
-Minimum 1 year experience in program/resource development related to needs assessment, planning, program design, implementation and evaluation, teaching/counselling, facilitation skills, and leading group activities
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Current CPR Certification
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Valid Class 5 drivers license

Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position

Other Information:
Demonstrated experience working with clients requiring long term care and physically medically complicated care
Experience with Gentle Persuasions Approach (GPA) an asset
