The Organization:
Founded in 1955 as the Lutheran Sunset Home of Saskatoon, LutherCare Communities provides excellence in care, housing, and community services within a nurturing Christian environment.  

The Position:
The Junior Maintenance Workers duties include: basic electrical, carpentry and plumbing repairs as well as maintaining equipment, suite restoration, boiler checks.  Seasonal grounds duties such as lawn cutting and snow removal and other duties as assigned by the Senior Maintenance Worker. The Junior Maintenance Worker is responsible and compensated for on-call duties as assigned.

LutherCare offers a competitive compensation package to all full-time, part-time, and casual employees working greater than 40% of full-time hours.  

The Applicants:
Applicants will have a grade 12 education, a valid drivers license, and will be required to attain a Firemans Certificate within three months of employment. Sufficient practical experience to perform the duties is required and experience working with seniors is an asset. Applicants must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently, have knowledge of the safe operation and maintenance of hand/power tools and grounds keeping equipment as well as basic knowledge of carpentry. Applicants must be physically able to perform duties.
