POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this pivotal role you will be responsible for managing the materials and equipment portfolio of categories, including MRO, mobile equipment, bulks and other related categories. Working closely with supply chain management business partners in our mining, major projects and fuel services divisions, you will develop sourcing strategies for these categories, manage contracts with and performance of Camecos Tier 1 vendors, as well as maintain category expertise and market knowledge necessary to maximize value from periodic rate and service level negotiations.
As a key contributor to the strategic management of corporate spend, you will pursue value-creation opportunities and drive maximisation of the resulting benefits. Your change management skills will assist you in ensuring stakeholder collaboration and acceptance, and your experience in purchasing or supplier management will contribute to the overall success of the category strategy.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements of the position:
Bachelors degree in commerce, business or a related field
10 or more years of related experience in supply chain management, relationship management and/or project management
Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
A proven track record of effectively leading cross-functional teams
Strong change management and negotiation expertise
Assets:
SCMP or CPSM designation
