Versatile Concepts is seeking a hardworking, experienced and energetic person to join our team as Carpenter and possibly a Shop Foreman. Experience working in a factory setting of modular building is a benefit. Preference will be given to those that have worked in supervisory roles and can work with minimal supervision.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Help drive the business and projects forward.
- Be hands on and be part of the construction process. (Framing, flooring, finishing,doors and windows, outside finishing ie: cladding, roofing etc)
- Participate in safety and quality programs.
- Cooperate with other team members.
- Be able to adjust easily.
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:
- Minimum 5 years construction experience.
- Apprentice.
- Takes ownership of role and is a self-starter.
- Can work and delegate to others to do things as efficiently and safe as possible.
- Working knowledge of commercial construction process.
- Organized, driven and hard working.
- Natural leadership qualities.
- Safety conscious.
- Ability to manage and supervise others.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Positive attitude. Ready to work and learn every day and pass this on to others.
Compensation:
Salary based on experienced and reviewed regularly.
If you are tired of working outside and want to work in a controlled indoor work environment we have the place for you. We work 6:30 AM to 5 PM Monday to Thursday.
We are located in the town of Vonda which is 25 minutes north east of Saskatoon.
