Description

This position will report directly to the supervisor, acting as the caretaker and maintenance personnel for rental properties.

This position will also arrange and perform vacant property showings as well as performing move-in and out walk throughs.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Schedule and attend tenant suite showings
- Coordinate and track move ins/move outs
- Availability on evenings and weekends and occasionally on call for emergencies
- Printing and delivering notices to rental premises
- Being very available and available on short notice
- Following a calendar of scheduled service calls, repair and maintenance duties
- Regular scheduled maintenance checkups
- Manage tenant maintenance requests including proper follow up to ensure satisfaction and completion
- Schedule cleaning and repair of turnover suites
- Receive supplies and sending paperwork to the head office
- Inspection of buildings and vacant suites to report on any deficiencies and maintenance requests
- Work with utility companies, phone companies and contractors for entering the properties for their work

Examples of repairs:
- Replacing seals/seats on leaking tub and sink taps.
- Replacing shower heads and hoses
- Replacing tub spouts
- Repairing toilets. Replacing fill valves, flappers, and toilet seats
- Adjustment of doors, door strikes

Qualifications:
- Experience in/Knowledge of the maintenance, caretaking, hands-on skills, property repairs and minor renovations is REQUIRED.
- Prior Property Management experience is an asset
- Above average problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Must possess a valid drivers license and have a reliable vehicle
- Must provide clean criminal background check
- Reliable and dependable
- Committed to providing excellent customer service
