TC Media, a member of the TC Transcontinental group, is one of Canadas leading publishers of community newspapers. In total, we publish over 170 papers across Canada, reaching an average of 6.9 million readers each week. We currently have an opening at our publication, The Prince Albert Daily Herald for a News/Sports Reporter.

Reporting to the Managing Editor, you will be responsible for covering a broad spectrum of issues and beats, reporting on events throughout the region, and taking photos and videos to accompany stories. We are looking for a dedicated individual who can produce content on the issues and stories that resonates with the community and exceed the expectations of online and print readers.

Desired talent:

Completed diploma or degree from an accredited journalism program considers an asset, will consider any equivalent background and experience
Experience in the journalism field
Strong working knowledge of media website back ends and social media platforms
Strong writing and storytelling abilities
Good working knowledge of Mac computer systems
Strong photography/videography skills
