Span West is a thriving condominium developer with over 30 years in business. Since our launch in 1982, Span West has built more than 50 multi-unit condominium complexes across Western Canada. In addition, weve overseen the construction of several successful buildings including the Rosthern Town Office, Rosthern Group Home, Porcupine Plain Group Home, various hotels and commercial complexes.
Our company is currently looking for an experienced controller to join our Saskatoon office on a part-time basis (hours to be determined). The job requires a professional accounting designation and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The controller will have the role of coordinating the financial planning and budgeting process, and supporting the company with strategic planning, reporting and stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate is self-employed contractor, decisive and honest, hardworking and enjoys working independently.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing and filing of 35-40 corporate tax returns annually
Overseeing and filing 6-8 personal tax returns annually
Corporate tax planning
Managing dividend distribution and inter-company loans
Shareholder distributions
Cash flow planning and review
Revenue projections
Representing Span West in dealings with CRA
Doing financing packages
