Description

As a member of the Human Resource Leadership Team (HRLT), the director, HR program development is accountable to the associate vice-president, human resources, and will act as an internal consultant to management on complex recruitment and retention, total rewards, diversity, and organizational effectiveness matters, and will collaborate with the director, employee relations, director, HR advisory services and director, health, safety and security on the development and implementation of leading practice, strategy and policy to assist the organization in effectively managing its human resources. The director, program development will also provide leadership and supervision to HR employees that specialize in recruitment and retention, total rewards, diversity and organizational effectiveness.

This position is one of six reporting to the associate vice-president, human resources, along with the director, employee relations, director, HR advisory services, director, health, safety and security harassment consultant, and an executive assistant. Reporting to this position are six supporting HR employees.

This position is responsible for leading the development of programs, systems and processes that will ensure Saskatchewan Polytechnic can attract, develop and retain the kind of people it needs to meet its short and long-term goals and directions. The individual in this position has direct responsibility for developing, enhancing and implementing the strategic and operational plans for the portfolio and for ensuring that they are integrated into the human resources division business plan and aligned with the strategic vision and direction of Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
