David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Documentation Technician - Design for its agricultural manufacturing operation located 2 hours outside Regina, SK.  

The Role:

The Documentation Technician - Design is responsible for taking technical information and rewriting it in a way that can be utilized by non-technical individuals. The successful candidate will create the operating and maintenance manuals including instruction manuals, user guides, and system manuals and help with the creation of online help files, documentation, and user guides for the Seed Hawk website. The successful candidate will have excellent research and writing skills, along with an understanding of information design, information architecture, training material development, illustration, and graphic design in addition to software programs such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.

The Ideal Candidate:

University degree in Industrial Design, Engineering, or equivalent, with 3 years of experience in technical communications.  Excellent written skills in English, strong attention to detail, strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft office) and must be able to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.  Previous agricultural and / or manufacturing industry experience is considered an asset.
