David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client, a mid-sized public accounting firm located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, to recruit an Accountant.

The Role:

Preparation, review and audit of financial statements
Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
Income tax planning for companies and individuals
Financial and strategic planning for businesses
Estate planning
Corporate reorganization
Bookkeeping, payroll, GST and PST filing
Preparation of business plans and financial projections
Evaluation of financial information
Assisting with the purchase and sale of businesses

The Ideal Candidate:

Minimum of 1 to 3 years' experience
A CA or CPA Designation
Experience preparing and reviewing Notice to Reader, Review and Audit engagements
Senior level knowledge of preparing and reviewing corporate and personal income tax returns as well as other CRA filings
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple files and projects in a deadline-orientated environment
Technical skills including familiarity with the latest changes to GAAP
Experience with software including CaseWare/ CaseView, Tax Prep, Can Tax, Sage 50 (formerly Simply Accounting) and the Microsoft Office suite
Strong written and interpersonal communication skills dealing with a variety of clients and team members
